Koi and pond fish care
Health checks, feeding guidance, and real protection from herons and raccoons.

Healthy koi come from good water first. Most fish problems we see trace back to water quality, overfeeding, or a pond that is too shallow and too warm.
We check your fish, check the water behind them, and tell you what we see in plain language.
Herons are the other half of the job. Collin County has plenty, and a heron can clear a pond in a morning.
What the visit includes
- Visual health check for ulcers, fins, gills, and behavior
- Water tested against your fish load
- Feeding plan by season and water temperature
- Overstocking review and rehoming guidance
- Salt or treatment protocol when it is warranted
- Heron and raccoon deterrent setup
- Fish cave or shelf added for hiding cover
- Quarantine advice before adding new koi
What we look for
Flashing and rubbing
Fish scraping against rock often means parasites or irritating water. Worth a look early.
Sitting on the bottom
A koi that stops moving and clamps its fins is telling you something about the water.
Fish disappearing
That is usually a predator, not illness. Cover, depth, and deterrents all help.
